Pongo

Software: 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Photoshop

Duration: 40 hours

This creature is based off a design by Brian Froud from the Goblins of Labyrinth artbook. His artstyle is very interesting and different and it really appealed to me. I first started off with a rough base mesh which I then took into Zbrush and sculpted all the forms and details I wanted. From there I used Zbrush retopology and created a low poly mesh and I baked my normals out in xnormal. The texturing and final render was a lot of fun to do and I am especially pleased with the eyes. Which have a nice specualr, and realistic look to them.
